This information applies to every student in College Algebra. The following grading scale is how your high school grade will be figured. Go to the WU Syllabus page for information on how the college grade is figured if you are enrolled in dual credit.
Daily homework should be expected, but homework will be turned in at the end of each unit with the recording sheet. Completing homework corrections and get signatures will allow you to receive 100% plus extra credit on homework.
Quizzes will help you prepare for the exams. Quizzes will be open notes, unless otherwise noted. Your lowest quiz score will be dropped from the grade calculation.
Tests will be closed notes, closed book. Each test will be worth 100 points. Most test questions will be similar to homework problems, class examples, and/or quiz questions.
One test can be retaken (see details on dual credit page as to how this could affect your WU grade if you are a dual credit student). No quizzes can be retaken. The score received on the retake will be the new grade up to 80%. A qualifier must be completed prior to retaking any test.
